CORRAL NUMBER 6!

Thanks to the Toronto Zoo's Endangered Species Reserve Fund we recently completed our sixth predator-proof livestock corral in the forest edge community of Gelugur. Gelugur experiences predation of livestock from Sumatran tigers due to the proximity they graze their livestock to the forest. This is an easy opportunity for a tiger but causes significant financial loss and distress to the livestock owners. Our livestock corrals are gaining support amongst these communities as they see the benefits, are involved in the construction and become part of the solution in helping to protect wildlife as well as their livestock. Thank you for enabling this milestone Toronto Zoo!
