FAREWELL PAK ARIES

In late March we unexpectedly lost our beloved Field Coordinator, Pak Aries. Aries had worked with us for almost four years, leading our ranger teams in the field. After a long career in the Indonesian military he had dedicated his work to conservation within Sumatra and was involved in multiple NGOs and their conservation focused work. Pak Aries was an educated, distinguished man, very much respected by community leaders and international organisations. Our team was deeply shocked and saddened by his sudden passing and our thoughts are with his family. Selamat jalan, Pak Aries.
